The Spiders

Just finished watching Dr. Strangelove and the house is a mess. We’re doing a bit of renovation of the house, didnt expect it will stretch out till the day before raya. Im starting to feel bad about the mess they’ve made outside of the house. lucky no one is living opposite our apartment or im sure they’re gonna make a big deal out of it. but anyway, I’m going back to Batu Pahat tomorrow morning, spend the night there at the in-laws before going back to JB and to Ain’s grandparents house in Pengerang, Kota Tinggi.

I seriously should be sleeping right now but having trouble to. Been working the PM shift for the past weeks and its putting my sleep pattern in dissarray. demmit. Sleeping use to be my specialty, previously i can just lie down, close my eyes and boom! tido. Now… its the sign of age i think, I am getting older and older then i’ll just be old. sigh.

On another note.

I bought butang baju melayu from the mines today before going to work. It does feel that we went on a little overdrive on this year’s raya. We bought curtains for the very first time since we moved in (now am using handouts from my mom, langsir raya tahun 1998) yay! put some tiles. painted another section of the house. Having a really good ONE idea of what house is going to look like instead of having a gazillions things what we want it to look like. Bought a new shoe! a limited edition BW Army Adidas and im loving it :) . I better stop right here before i become one of those blogs that post every little thing that they bought. hehe

We’re also planning a small get together for our friends, we’ll get the invitations up once the house are in order. If you happen to be free, please come by. So, here’s wishing everyone Selamat Hari Raya!

It’s 1997 and Geocities had just provided a whopping 2 MB of space to budding webdesigners all over the world their very own website for free! With that accessibility and both Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer competing for your browser of choice. What better way to show your preferences with these buttons on your webby.

The button itself is nothing spectacular, a rectangular static gif with an embossed grey background. There’s the Netscape logo on the left hand side with the word ‘Netscape Now’ on the right. The ‘Now’ is in red making the statement “Im not very fond of Microsoft” quite apparent. During this time IE is still in its infancy and the version 2.0 is displayed to show how much ahead are netscape to IE.

When Netscape ruled the internet. Internet Explorer have to use such underhand tactics such as the <marquee> tags. Not supported by netscape this tag allow user to create a fancy looking marquee board display that will dissappear across the screen The button is slightly more fancy looking with its animated “e globe” icon and the word ‘free’ white on a red background. With all its worth the word free is such an understatement when you take account the amount of time you have to spend reformating your Windows with all those stuff they install on your machine without you knowing.

What better way to elevate your HTML Guru status with these buttons. “Made by Notepad” truly shows how much of a hardcore html coder you are. It shows that you understand HTML and not afraid to show it to your visitors. You shun users who uses free templates and frontpages to build their website and call them ‘newbies ‘on your irc chatroom #htmlzone where you are the moderator.
